Aldous Huxley. "Brave New World"
Aldous Huxley (26 July 1894 – 22
November 1963) was an English writer and philosopher. He wrote nearly fifth book.
Between that there novels, poems, essays and many articles.
Brave new world is one of the
most popular Huxley novels, in the modern literature is one of the most
important books of the century .This
dystopian novel is about a futuristic world where the people is conditioned psychologically
since reproductive technology until caste
production.
I love this book because although
was written in 1932 pointing to the future, the contemporary world is so
similar to the text, the creation of concept “Freedom”. In the actually world we
believe in the freedom like the solution of the every problems in the world ,
but we don’t live freedom , the high power domes are making an illusion of
freedom trying make us happy with money and anything’s that we don’t need .This
book is perfect to understand the
actually society , We cannot be controlled by
dictator and living in pain , is too much easy be a controlled society
with happiness , the fake happiness is the drug that every day we take , the
money , the things that we don’t need.
The first time that read this
book when I was 15 years old, my best friend started suffering from a disease. Due
to this he began to consume analgesics and he felt identified with another book
of Aldous Huxley “the doors of perception” where the author use drugs to alter
the reality. Vicente (my best friend) and me start to read Aldous Huxley until
today.
